God of War Collection for PS3

Video games are great for the soul. There is no doubt that playing video games can help with your reaction skills and can even help you learn and give you a workout depending on the game that you choose. If you are not a fan of any of that stuff and just want some good, old fashioned blood and gore in your video games that also features a surprisingly engaging story line, then the recently released God of War Collection for Playstation 3 is for you.

The collection combines both God of War and God of War on one Blu-Ray disc so that you can play it on your PS3. The games were originally released for the Playstation 2 a few years ago and became instant classics. The games center around the character of Kratos, who is a Spartan warrior and is called to task to do one last mission for the Goddess Athena. He is to kill her brother Ares, the God of War. This sets in motion events that lead Kratos, and the player, to discover the real story behind the warrior. Along the way, players will encounter many famous places and people straight out of Greek Mythology and it all fits so perfectly into the game. Not to mention that the voice acting, music and cinematics in the game are top notch. God of War features one of the most intense, cinematic first boss fights in the history of games, and it happens within the first 20 minutes of the game, and really gets you set up for the rest of the series.

Because these games are now on the PS3, it means that they have been remastered for the best sound and graphics. The games now run in 720P HD and at 60 frames per second, meaning that they look better than they ever did on the PS2, where they were regarded as some of the finest looking games of the last generation. Because of the additions of faster frame rate and updated graphics, the games are now better than ever and should be experienced by anyone looking for great gameplay, story and action. It should be noted that these games are rated M for a reason as they feature a lot of bloody action with Kratos' sword, language and some nudity, and are only intended for a mature audience.

I did it! Purchased a Playstation 3, is there anything I should know hooking it up to my Elite Plasma 42 in.?

Just wondering what settings I should use. I have a 5.1 system in place so all I plan on doing is to replace the dvd player with the Playstation. Dvd player has a HDMI cable from it to the tv.

Anything else?

I could not resist sale at Fred Meyer. If you purchased a club card for $300, they would add 10% to it so I got $330 for $300. Then they threw in the cordless remote control (savings of $49.99 plus tax) and they had buy one blu-ray disk and get another one for free. They also had 10% off of games, so I got Heavenly Sword. I could not resist. I am now....one of you!!

Is anyone having problems w/ Playstation 2 Guitar Hero World Tour Game?

When my son puts the game in the system it says the disc could not be read. The disc is clean and all other playstation 2 games work on the console. I have noticed that the game does not spin continually like the other games. We have exchanged this game twice already!! Can someone please tell me what the problem may be?

1st look up the price of ur TV and the price of a PS3 (best buy online, walmart, amazon,even ebay)

then start your bid for the itema little lower than the actual price(say if its 670 then start the bid at 590)

then when the bidding gets hot uv got the buy now which u should put at accouple dollars higher than the norm( isay if its 670 you set the buy now at 730)

NOTE: the bids wont go any higher than what u set the 'buy now' button at (who would keep bidding higher than a buy now button)

Do saves from a PAL version game work on a USA version game? (Playstation 2 console)?

I played the japanese version of DBZ Tenkaichi 2, and completed it. The save file didn't work on the UK Version. Since im getting the USA version, I'm just wondering if it's worth to beat it in the UK version since I don't want to waste another 30+hours. So if I beat it in the UK version, will the save work on the U.S. version? Thnx

No, when you save data from a PAL game you cannot use it on NTSC or JAP. (or vice versa)

I have a collection of old video game systems and video games that I want to sell but want to get the best deal possible.

Should I sell them individually or in a bulk purchase?

What would be a fair price for such a historic collection spanning twenty-plus years?

I have the following game systems and a handful of games for each (all are in good to fair condition):
Intellivision - about twenty games
nintendo entertainment system - about ten games
Super NES - about five games
Playstation 1 (slim) - about twenty games
Playstation 2 (slim with network card) - about twenty games
Kuzya, this collection of old video games and game systems actually reflect the many years I've been playing video games. Much longer than you've been alive, no doubt. I never could bring myself to getting rid of them before. But now I want to sell them to help pay for the cost of a PS3.

I think you should sell every console separately. You could sell the games with the console, but could also make some bundles of 10 mixed good and bad games each.

There are still new Playstation2 games comming out, so that one will be more popular.

For the older systems you'll have to find fanatics.

uhh actually all psp can get the playstation network you just need an internet connection and select update for your psp and one of the updates is the playstation network.

Is resident Evil the essentials good?

well you see i like the Resedent evil series all of the games they are really kool. The best part is playing them in chrono order. Resident Evil the essentials says it includes resident evil 1-3 Veronica X and 4. The question is, is it the origional 1-3. The same storyline and the same gameplay or is it completley different? I'm deciding if i should buy Resident Evil The Essentials OR Just if it would be better to buy Resident Evil 1-3 on Playstation.
i have played all the resident evil games but i lost them and yes lol i loved nemiss it gave me nightmares for a month:D which is why i want all of them outbreak says it includes 1-3 but im not sure if they shortened it or if it is the same just better graphics or what
im not playing the games for the graphics though, i really like the storyline but the movies on it shorten the storyline by a lot and dont include what the games storylines do

Well I am a huge a Resident evil fan and i think if you want the full resident evil experince you should get 1-3 on the ps.1 and also resident evil 1 directors cut, but if you want better graphics get the new one for the gamecube and the game play is all the same except with resident evil 4 and outbreak files 1-2, and umbrela cronicals. So my awnser is you should buy 1-3 and the playstation1.

What game should I buy for the playstation 3

Metal Gear Solid 4. Easily the one of the best, if not THEE, best game for the ps3. It pushes the graphics to a new high for the console, lengthy story rich cutscenes, dashes of humor. The game is designated as a stealth espionage action game, but you can play it however you like. I have friends who snipe the whole game, and friends who go in guns (or RPG's) blazing. Online multi-player available.

Highly reviewed by every website i've come accross.

Also as another option:

Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. very fun game, blow up everything lots of fun gagdets and both destructive and crazy weapons, lucious environments and tons of humor. Also very highly rated.
